Mountain Wedding Venues in Colorado

Are you planning a Colorado Mountain wedding but want to stay near Denver for your guests? No worries! I've compiled a list of venues within an hour(ish) drive from Denver that have that mountain vibe you're desire. The wedding venues I have listed are all actually in the mountains/foothills and have the mountain vibe. However, I made sure I selected sites that will offer everything you need (both a ceremony site, reception area, and epic views). Some are all-inclusive, and others are the DIY type of venue. Enjoy!

Wild Basin Lodge - Allenspark, Colorado

Website

Wild Basin Lodge has a gorgeous outside amphitheater that sits on a riverbank covered with aspen trees that look outstanding during the fall. It also borders Rocky Mountain National Park, a popular destination for many couples getting married and eloping because of its epic views. You can see the entrance of the park from the front door of the venue! I highly recommend planning your day out so you can utilize both the venue and the park for photos!

Della Terra Mountain Chateau - Estes Park, Colorado

Website

I love Della Terra for several reasons; it's family-owned and operated, it's a wedding venue and a hotel, it's a complete service, and it's so detailed! If you ever get the change to drop in and tour the facility even for fun, do! It's placed in the heart of Estes Park and not far away from an entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. It's both a wedding venue and your hotel- and holy smokes, these guys are booked out a year in advance almost 365 days a year. Before you book, consider that this might be best as an adult-only event because the main suites do not allow children - and once you visit, you'll understand why. It's one of the most romantic getaways a couple - and even your guests- could think of. This is one of the most luxurious mountain wedding experiences you can have in Colorado.

Flagstaff House - Boulder, Colorado

Website

If you're searching for a great steak dinner with stunning sunset views, that's an easy commute for your guests; Flagstaff House is the pick! Residing on Flagstaff Mountain, this restaurant is nestled in with Boulder's most popular ceremony sites (Sunrise Amphitheater, Lost Gulch, and the others). I recommend trying the knot at one of the intimate sites on the mountain and then having your reception at Flagstaff's house! The above photos are from one of the ceremony sites across the street from Flagstaff House.

The Winding River Ranch - Grand Lake, Colorado

Website Link

Winding River Ranch is majestic! It's a perfect all weekend getaway for an entire wedding party. They have everything you would think a ranch would have; animals, mountain views, a would barn, a creek running through, and a gorgeous reception area. One of my favorite moments at this venue was photographing my clients with the horses they had onsite! You and your guests can plan out your weekend with activities like horseback riding, the petting zoo, camping, fishing, hiking, campfires, and much more. This venue is also kid-friendly!

C Lazy U Ranch - Granby, Colorado

Website

C Lazy U Ranch is just about as luxury ranch and scenic views mixture as you can get! You and your guests can stay comfortably for the weekend in their cabins and partake in a variety of activities. The outdoor ceremony sites overlook great views that your family and friends will rave about forever. Check out their Woodsie Overlook, with views of Willow Creek Reservoir. Also - the staff at this venue is exceptional and accommodating. The onsite activities include fly fishing, horseback riding, a spa, swimming, archery, hatchet throwing, mountain biking, tennis, guided hikes, and more!

The Mountain Wedding Garden - Crested Butte, Colorado

Website

This spot has a special place tucked in my heart. Hidden back down behind a hill, this wedding ceremony site and reception pavilion hosts epic mountain views. During the spring and summer, it has lush green views with beautiful wildflowers that make it a truly unique location. It's incredibly affordable, ranging from $400 -850 for the garden and $225-500 for the Pavillion. You can host up to 200 guests in this adorable location!

Boettcher Mansion - Lookout Mountain, Golden, Colorado

Website

If you're looking to have a wedding on the smaller size, Boetcher Mansion can accommodate that! They offer three locations on their property for the ceremony, the Mansion, the Carriage House, and the Gazebo. The house's patio is an ideal ceremony site, especially with the cute lights strung across it! For your romantic photos, use the property, but also just across the street, you have great scenic views of lookout mountain. Boetcher Manion isn't far from Denver; if you're looking for a location, your guests can quickly get to.

The Pines at Genesee

Website

If you want a larger wedding and close to Denver with he Mountain aesthetic, Pines at Genesee covers both those bases. There are two ceremony spots, including the Aspen Wedding Terrace and the Evergreen Wedding Terrace (Evergreen Terrace pictured above).

The Lodge at Breckenridge

Website

My favorite thing about the Lodge at Breckenridge is the patio and the views. The backdrop is a scenic view of the ski resort and other mountains. It's lovely! My second favorite part is that there are some secret hidden spots nearby for great portraits of you and your new spouse.

Sapphire Point Overlook

Website

Breaks my rules because it doesn't offer everything. However, it's just too gorgeous not to list. It's a popular wedding and elopement spot that you can reserve for your ceremony. The views at sunset are just beautiful as you overlook Dillion Reservoir. The ceremony site can be reserved for a two-hour block by contacting the Dillion Ranger District.

Check out maternity photos at Sapphire Point here.

The Little Nell Website

I love Aspen, and the Little Nell is one of my favorite venues. The deck offers impressive scenic views, especially at sunset, and can host your favorite 250 people!

Devil's Thumb Ranch

Website

In Tabernash, you'll find Devil's Thumb Ranch, hosting weekend wedding celebrations. If you're looking for full-service venues and a spa, this is the way to go! Their ceremony spots are hard to choose from, and everywhere on the ranch is a photo opportunity.

These aren't all of the fabulous venues that Colorado has to offer, but it's enough to get you started. If you have a specific aesthetic in mind, reach out to us to help! We would be happy to help you find your dream wedding location!
