Lost Gulch and Chautaqua Park Engagement Photos
Updated: Feb 2, 2020
Engagement Photos are a big deal; for most couples, it's the first time they've hired a professional photographer. This was the case for Stephanie and Alexi, who had been engaged for roughly a year at this point. I was incredibly honored when the couple found me on Instagram and reached out about taking their engagement/family photos with their three dogs.
We met at the trailhead of Chautauqua Park in Boulder, Colorado, for the first half of their session. The couple brought their three adorable dogs for this portion of the shoot. I understand how important your fur babies are in your lives! As a husky owner, I absolutely would want my dog involved in my photos, so I encouraged the couple to bring all three of theirs. Managing three dogs during a photoshoot can be a hassle. However, I suggest bringing along a friend to assist with them. We ended up with a great shot of all three dogs looking at the camera! WOOHOO!
After the "family" styled photos with the dogs, we headed up to Lost Gulch for sunset. The two broke out dazzling black outfits, Stephanie in a black cocktail style dress, and Alexi in a black blazer and slacks. The two looked ravishing, paired with the epic mountain views.
The sunset that evening was extravagant - and to think we almost missed it! The three of us climbed back over the boulders and rocks to catch vibrant oranges, pinks, reds, and a little bit of purple. Stephanie's teal hair was so striking, paired with the background. This sunset was the cherry on top for their engagement photos!
On top of their ridiculously good looks, charm, and perfect outfits, these two were absolute naturals in front of the camera. Their chemistry was undeniable, and they didn't hold anything back. I appreciated how they let their true selves shine for this photoshoot! Thank you for having me, Stephanie and Alexi, congrats, and Goodluck!
