Colorado Elopement Packages Near Me

Updated: Jul 12, 2020

You're looking for, "Elopement Packages Near me," and you landed in the right place!

Congrats! If you're searching "Colorado Elopement Packages Near Me", you're probably planning the most amazing wedding, and you don't even know it yet! I love all weddings no matter the size, however, elopements are by far my favorite because of the intimacy, the intent, and the adventure. Luckily I live in the wonderful state of Colorado, meaning I have access to hundreds of amazing elopement locations! (If you were googling elopement packages near me in a different state, well welcome anyway!)

Before we jump into my elopement packages let's chat about what you need to elope in the state of Colorado:

  1. You need a marriage license

  2. Whatever the heck you want!

AND THAT'S IT. Yep, it n the state of Colorado all you need is a marriage license. You don't need a minister to marry you, nor do you need any witnesses. How cool is that? Colorado is one of the only states that allows you to self solemnize. The only requirements are that you return your signed marriage license within 63 days.

While that's all you need that's probably not all you want - because this is a very special day! And since you're eloping you can make it as meaningful to you as you'd like. As glamourous as you want, or as daring as you want! There are no rules for eloping! And if you decide you want an ordained minister to marry you that's okay too, many couples do.

So, say you want to have an adventurous elopement outdoors. What do you need to know?

1. Most if not all Colorado locations require permits. This may be a special use permit for you to exchange your vows, or it may be a photography permit. If you don't hire a photographer still make sure to research this beforehand. For example, Rocky Mountain National Park has several designated areas to exchange your vows, they also charge a fee to use these areas. Other popular locations like Sapphire Point, the Sand Dunes, and certain Boulder locations also require permits.

2. There are photographers that specialize in elopement photography and planning. Most if not all Colorado locations require permits. This may be a special use permit for you to exchange your vows, or it may be a photography permit. If you don't hire a photographer still make sure to research this beforehand. For example, Rocky Mountain National Park has several designated areas to exchange your vows, they also charge a fee to use these areas (like I do!).

3. You can elope with family or friends - this isn't the 18th century. Eloping no longer means running away (unless you want it to). In this day and age eloping means having an intimate wedding experience. You're ditching the traditional views a busy and hectic wedding day that you may not get to enjoy, and you're swapping it for an experience that's deliberate, mindful, and deeply meaningful.

Colorado Elopement Packages near Me:

Not all elopement packages are equal. Here are some unique offerings that make my elopement packages special:

Planning

Not all photographers offer planning services, I actually help you plan out the best day ever. From locations, timing, and all the other details. Planning includes a meeting in person (if possible) or a zoom meeting time to plan your big day! The amount of meeting time is dependent on the length of your purchases package.

Travel Booking

Did I also mention that my planning services include a travel agent that books lodging, transit, and excursions at no additional cost? That way if you're traveling to Colorado, or to an exotic destination you don't have to worry about those things! I work with a wonderful travel agent, Jennifer Hunter, from Soul Trek Travel to make sure all your dreams come true.

Digital Photos

When you elope it's not about the number of photos you receive back, it's about the quality of the photos you receive (and of course the amazing experience you had). I do not deliver every photo I took - however, I do deliver a ton of photos! It's roughly 40 per hour! I edit all of the delivered photos. I retouch a handful of the closeups as well, meaning I make small improvements to the skin, like acne removal. My retouching looks very natural, I use a method called frequency separation to make sure you don't look as plastic as Barbie when I'm done. Note: I do not charge you per photo, you get to download all of the photos I send you.

Make sure you understand your photographer's contract. Some photographers only charge you for their time upfront, but they do not give you photos. I do not operate this way, you know you're paying me for my time, editing, and roughly 40 photos per hour upfront.

Online Gallery

All of my clients receive their photos via a beautiful online gallery. This makes it easy for you to view, share, download, and even print. If you want your photos delivered via a different method please ask, but this is now the industry standard and easiest method for you to access your photos. I keep my galleries online for up to six months.

Print Release

My elopement packages also include print release - meaning you can print wherever, whenever, and however many times you want! WOOHOO! I believe you should be able to do whatever you'd like with your pictures after I hand them over, and you shouldn't have to print through me if you already have a great printer. With that said, you can still print through me, I'm okay with that too!
