Boulder Falls and Lost Gulch Engagement Photos, Boulder, Colorado

Updated: May 8, 2020

I've known Kate and Casey since I was roughly 14 years old. I think I've known Kate and Casey as long as they've known eachother. When I think of one of them, the other comes to mind, not to be cheesy, but it's like peanut butter and jelly. The two just were made for each other. They started dating ten years ago when we were just kids; they've grown together; they've formed each other's lives. So naturally, I was tickled pink with honor when they asked me to be their wedding photographer. There is no greater honor in this world (at least to me) than to capture the most significant day in someone's life when you have known them since childhood.

In the fall of 2019, we meet at Boulder Falls in Boulder, Colorado, for their engagement photos. We met there late in the afternoon, so the sun had fallen behind the mountain, draping us in the shade for the pictures, but giving us enough time for a drive over to Lost Gulch at sunset. Boulder Falls is a good option if you're looking for a waterfall with no hike, it's just a short walk from the designated parking area. It's perfect if you're looking to add a variety of backdrops and scenery to your engagement photos.

Lost Gulch, our second location of the evening, is also a great location that offers mountain views without a hike. Sunset at Lost Gulch Lookout was epic that evening and put on a good show for Kate and Casey. The sky turned to oranges, peaches, pinks, and blues during our photos session.

Kate and Casey will have their wedding at the Clock Tower this summer! I can't wait to photograph your wedding and make some stellar memories!
