30th Anniversary Photos
Thirtieth anniversaries are a big deal! Thirty years of marriage means, three decades around the sun together. At that point, you know each other better than your favorite book. You've had tons of sentimental memories. You've grown together and have shaped one another. And now you've reached a significant milestone in the legacy two people can build together. My parents are celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary today, on October 14, 2019. Congratulations, you two!
Not to get sentimental, but my parents have been as close as you can get as the perfect role model marriage for my brother and me. Alright, I lied, this is going to get sentimental. Like all couples, they bicker and have their rough moments, usually when they're tired. Yet, I've never seen two people love each other so much and put each other first. They're two peas in a pod, they've grown together so wonderfully that I couldn't picture them any other way. I feel so thankful to have such wonderful parents and great role models.
Their photoshoot wasn't planned; it was a spur of the moment decision. I was shocked my father wanted to if you know him. He hates having his photos taken more than anything else in the world. They had me help pick out outfits (I tossed out all the obnoxious flannel my father wanted to wear). Then we hopped in the truck and set out on our adventure. None of us had ever been to Golden Gate Canyon State Park, but we decided it would be a great time to check it out. We were happy to find golden aspens, a few mountain views, and a charming sunset.
I'm seriously in love with how these photos turned out (but I might be biased)! Mom and dad did great in front of the camera, even though my dad complained, "can we go eat dinner now?" roughly 90 percent of the time. Either way, he still complied more than I anticipated him to. Great job, dad!
Congrats, you two! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!
